The Bike House is a community-based bicycle repair co-op in Washington, DC. Our mission is to build a place where all people can learn about, work on, and enjoy bikes. We do this by providing free bicycle maintenance services and education through our weekend clinics, mobile bike clinic, and beginner and advanced mechanics classes.
All weekly clinics are now hibernating for the winter. See the Upcoming Events and subscribe to our newsletter for special events and clinics before we reopen in spring 2014.

The Bike House is offering a women's mechanics course open to anyone who identifies as a woman and wants to gain basic skills and confidence in bicycle maintenance and repair. No experience necessary - just come ready to get your hands dirty!
Topics covered: 1) cleaning chains and fixing flats; 2) maintaining and repairing braking systems; 3) maintaining and adjusting shifting systems; and 4) truing wheels. With this knowledge, you’ll be able to perform safety checks, emergency repairs, and basic maintenance.
Continue your journey by attending Bike House clinics at Annie’s Ace Hardware (open to the public every Saturday 12-3), where you can hone your skills, work on your bike, and help teach others what you’ve learned.
